Angelus Temple Renovation
First opened in 1923 as Aimee Semple McPherson’s domed worship space serving 5,000, this exceedingly reverberant venue on the National Historic Register was redesigned and fully converted within 9 months, into an acoustically successful 118dB+ rock-n-roll church without occluding the highly problematic dome.
Fuller Theological Seminary Chapel
In its 50-year history, the largest seminary in North America has been without its own worship space. Because its performing arts work is a key component of its mission, it will soon have its own versatile, variable acoustics performing arts chapel with a prominent pipe organ.
Immaculate Conception Church
Immaculate Conception Church, dedicated in 1861, embarked on a renovation in 1987 that demanded remarkable acoustics. Tony Hoover facilitated dialog between the church and the Landmarks Commission to ensure the acoustics would not be compromised, while the Church would be able to update its facilities.
St. Clare Chapel
The Franciscan Renewal Center’s St. Clare Blessed Sacrament Chapel provides a peaceful and quiet meditaiton space for the Roman Catholic community of Paradise Valley, AZ. The church is led by the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor in cooperation with The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
St. John Vianney Church
St. John Vianney Church is home to an active Catholic community with over 5,300 registered families. The new Church opened with a celebratory Dedication Mass on June 23, 2018, seven years after the previous Church had been lost to arson.
