Taylor Blaine Joins MCH!


Taylor joins us in our Scottsdale, AZ office after several years as an audio engineer and composer in the entertainment industry. He concurrently earned a B.A. Recording Arts and a B.A. Individualized Studies: Acoustics and Music from Loyola Marymount University (2015). During this time, he was a teaching assistant in the School of Film and Television and a research assistant on loudspeaker room responses. He earned his M.S. Architectural Sciences (Concentration in Architectural Acoustics) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2016); his thesis, A Time-Varying Reverberation Algorithm Influenced by Source Directivity Modulation, focused on providing a non-static convolution reverb for use by recording engineers. He is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Audio Engineering Society, and was a founder and vice chair of the RPI Student Chapter of the Acoustical Society of America.


Taylor is presently engaged in renovation of a soundstage & post-production facility in California, mechanical system noise control at a new university extended-learning center in California, all aspects of an entertainment complex in Arizona, and environmental noise studies near Los Angeles International Airport.
