Hayward Unified School District (HUSD)

The Hayward Unified School District Performing Arts Center (HUSD PAC) is a premier facility serving both students and the broader community. The center features a 528-seat auditorium and a versatile Black Box theater that also functions as a Community Room. The auditorium is equipped with an automated variable acoustics drapery system, enabling optimal performance conditions for a wide range of uses, from amplified speech and music to choral and orchestral performances. Carefully designed wall and ceiling shaping ensures even sound distribution, maximizing both clarity and envelopment. Its state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and infrastructure make the venue suitable for professional productions and includes a permanent house system tailored to the long-term needs of HUSD.

The Black Box/Community Room is an intimate, multi-functional space designed to accommodate everything from advanced theatrical productions to community events. It includes robust theatrical infrastructure, and features an operable partition allowing the room to be divided into two equal sections for simultaneous use without disruption.

MCH provided comprehensive Acoustical and Low Voltage design services, ensuring the facility meets the highest standards for performance and functionality.
