Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Tribal Court Facility

The Salt River Pima Maricopa-Indian Community Justice Center is a tribal court and practitioners’ building located on 4.3 acres of Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land in the Sonoran Desert. It sits at the edge of an existing tribal government complex near the border between sovereign tribal land and the metropolitan area of Phoenix, Arizona.

The multi-level building consolidates the tribal government departments and houses seven courtrooms (Criminal, Civil, Juvenile and Appellate), judicial chambers, a self-help library, jury deliberation suites, court administration and detainee holding areas. The Center was awarded a Citation for the 2019 AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice Facilities (AIA AAJ) Review. MCH provided full-scope acoustical and AV consulting services.
