Now a NCAA Division I school, California Baptist University (CBU) welcomed the expansion of their Athletic Performance Center in 2019. It includes basketball practice courts, group exercise rooms, offices for faculty members, a dedicated nutrition space, and the largest weight room of any NCAA D-I non-football institutions in California.

The building is located at the southeast corner of the CBU campus, and it typically hosts up to 450 student athletes for their exercises and athletics training.

Important aspects of these facilities include mitigation of noise and impacts created by various activities, as well as sufficiently quiet HVAC and appropriate sound-absorptive treatments to help coaches communicate with their athletes.
