MCH Projects in The Architect's Newspaper Best of Design Awards
Two of our projects have been recognized in The Architect's Newspaper 2020 Best of Design Awards.
San Diego State University | Main Stage, Second Stage, and Amenities Pavilion is an ongoing Design/Build project with HGA Architects and R&S Construction. The project includes a renovation of the existing Don Powell Theater, a new highly-flexible Second Stage Theater, and a state-of-the-art Sound Lab. These improvements to the campus' Arts District will bring new life to performing arts events, providing the university with highly-flexible environments for instruction and performance.
Arizona State University Hayden Library renovation directed by Ayers Saint Gross Architects, reopened in January 2020 with new modern finishes and a reinvented layout that maximizes efficiency, and provides a variety of new flexible spaces for learning, studying, and interaction. New spaces include a makerspace for students to design and build, and a highly-flexible media studio. The HVAC system was upgraded to a chilled beam system for enhanced energy efficiency and minimized environmental impact, with quieter background noise levels throughout.
