2021 Highlights at MCH
We are happy to share a few highlights of our many outstanding accomplishments of 2021.

Full-day CEU Webinar: Architectural Acoustics - Design and Construction
This webinar was offered through Halfmoon Education Inc. by Principal Tony Hoover.
This webinar included primers on Sound Isolation, HVAC Noise, Finish Treatments, Electroacoustic Systems. Common strategies to establish and achieve criteria for a variety of spaces were offered, as well as a greater understanding of the principles of acoustics.
Tony will be offering this webinar through Halfmoon Education again this March. We hope you can join us!

ASU Hayden Library - AIA COTE Top Ten Award
Our ASU Hayden Library Reinvention project was recognized with the Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten Award.
This successful and popular reinvention hosts a variety of new flexible spaces for learning, creating, studying, and interaction.

Principal David Conant received the 2021 Laymon N. Miller Award for Excellence in Acoustical Consulting
Dave was recognized for his long-standing career as an acoustical consultant, providing cost-effective recommendations, inventive solutions, and kind-hearted spirit to his projects!
This is an annual award from the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC) and Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE).
"The award is to be provided to an individual who has practiced acoustical consulting in an exemplary manner over a sustained period of time to improve acoustical environments in and around buildings, transportation systems, work places, recreational and other occupied spaces such that the quality of life for citizens and communities is significantly enhanced."

Listening to the Voices of Spanish-Speaking Acousticians in the Americas published in Acoustics Today
Zachery L'Italien, MCH Consultant, along with his SSA colleagues published an article in the quarterly magazine Acoustics Today, which discusses the Spanish Speaking Acousticians in the Americas (SSA) regional chapter of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Hispanic representation in the ASA, and professional and academic opportunity for acousticians in Latin America.
The article is also available in Spanish as Voces de los acústicos hispanohablantes en América Latina.
