The 26,000sf Hameetman Center at Caltech serves as a new community center, offering a modern gathering space for students and faculty.  It completed as a renovation via an Integrated Project Delivery methodology in Spring 2019 for an undisclosed sum.

The re-purposed and expanded building features the Red Door Marketplace, Caltech Store, conference room, multipurpose room, numerous club rooms, a music rehearsal and performance room, and a recording studio equipped with both a live tracking room and control room.

The state-of-the-art, variable acoustic music rehearsal room accommodates up to 100 musicians, and is home to many campus performance groups such as the Caltech-Occidental Wind Orchestra, the Caltech Jazzband, the Caltech Glee Club among many more.  The Center is on the Old Dorm site (accommodate 60 undergraduates) which was previously replaced by the Winnett Student Center.

MCH provided full-scope acoustical consulting including sound isolation, room shaping, and HVAC noise and vibration control.
