Peter B. Lewis Building, Weatherhead School of Management
Case Western Reserve University
Cleveland, OH
The Peter B. Lewis Building for the Weatherhead School of Management boasts perhaps the highest technology of any United States university today in its 10 seminar rooms. MCH provided full-scope acoustical and audiovisual consulting including distance-learning systems. Nearly all surfaces (including whiteboards) in the major classrooms are oriented to enable all students to be clearly heard even when facing away from their desks. A unique monolithic, highly absorptive finish capable of compound curvature was first introduced into the USA to this building by MCH. The spaces perform superbly. Professors are equipped with wireless microphones while each classroom has infrared audio enhancers that beam the room's sounds to wireless headsets for the hearing impaired.
