Airport Terminal 3
Phoenix Sky Harbor
Phoenix, AZ
The $590M modernization of Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is scheduled to complete in 2020. Goals for the project are to decrease occupant travel time within the terminal and improve the traveller experience.
This Design/Build project was segmented into three phases. Phase One, completed in 2016, consolidated airline security and added new ticketing counters to improve efficiency. Also added were a Museum Gallery and outdoor plaza. Phase Two, completed in 2020, added a new 15-gate South Concourse. Phase Three brings new dining and traveller amenities to the North Concourse.
The new South Concourse includes eight food/beverage outlets, five retail spots, a new 7,500 sf Delta Sky club, video relay service for hearing and speech-impaired travellers, and a hearing loop at all gate areas and hold rooms.
The modernization project is pursuing LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certification.
