Airport Emergency Operations Center
Phoenix Sky Harbor
Phoenix, AZ
Completed in 2018, the $18M Airport Emergency Operations Center (AEOC) at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport serves as the day-to-day operations and management center for the airport, but is also fully equipped to handle management of emergencies should they arise.
At 9,500 sf, the new building features the Command Center, general operations center space, open office space, conference rooms, and building support spaces.
Over 50 important systems were integrated into the space to include Communication (LAN, WLAN, IPTV, Cellular, Radio), Security (CCTV, ACAMS), AV, IT, Building Management, and Weather Detection, all of which require excellent aural communication in this high-energy, high noise-impacted space.
MCH provided full-scope acoustical consulting.
