Tony Hoover brings 26 years of experience with the acoustical consulting firm of
Cavanaugh Tocci Associates, Inc., in Boston, MA. Prior to joining MCH in 2007, Tony
has been the principal acoustical consultant on nearly 1,700 projects involving
all building types and all areas of architectural acoustics. He has served as expert
witness from Federal District Court to US Congressional Hearing. He concurrently
held faculty positions at the Berklee College of Music and Boston Architectural
Center. Tony has served in numerous leadership positions, chaired or co-chaired
numerous technical sessions on architectural and musical acoustics at various ASA
meetings, and is a member of the working group on the ANSI “Classroom Acoustics
Standard”. In 1992 he received the Theodore John Schultz Grant and wrote the textbook,
“An Appreciation of Acoustics”, and has received numerous design awards for architectural
acoustics.
